APIA Scholars

Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. APIA Scholars provides scholarships to underserved APIA students with a special focus on those who:

Live at or below the poverty level, or are otherwise of low socioeconomic status;

Are the first in their families to attend college;
-
Are representative of the APIA community’s diversity, (geographically and ethnically}, especially those ethnicities that have been underrepresented on college campuses due to limited access and opportunity; and
-
Have placed a strong emphasis on community service and leadership as well as solid academic achievement.

AANAPISI Scholarship
-
The Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Scholarship Program is a collaboration with AANAPISIs and the communities they serve to provide scholarships, expand institutional capacity and mobilize local resources to help foster economic development. The AANAPISI Scholarship is available annually to students attending APIA Scholars AANAPISI partner campuses (NMC is included).
Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $5,000 awards.

Tan Siu Lin Foundation Scholarship

The Tan Siu Lin Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship to ten deserving full-time NMC students pursuing an approved institutional degree during the 2023-2024 school year (Fall or Spring). Approved degree programs can be found online at the NMC website (www.marianas.edu). The scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, merit, eligibility, content of each student’s written essay, and interview process (if necessary).

Matson Navigation Company Scholarship

The Matson Scholarship will award one $500 scholarship to three deserving full-time NMC students pursuing a degree in either BS, AA or AAS in any Business concentration during the 2021-2022 school year. Approved business degree programs can be found online at the NMC website (www.marianas.edu). The scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, merit, eligibility, content of each student’s written essay, and interview process (if necessary).

Saipan Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce Educational Scholarship Fund provides one-time monetary awards to eligible high school senior (4), college (1), and NMTI (1) applicants who demonstrate academic and personal excellence and who will be attending or already attend a two-year or four-year college or vocational school. One of the Chamber's goals is to promote and enable postsecondary education and to publicly acknowledge and reward the academic and extracurricular accomplishments of deserving students.

Scholarship recipients will receive a one-time $2,000.00 grant to help defray the cost of their post-secondary education.

Tasi To Table Inc. Scholarship

The TTT Scholarship will award one $500 scholarship to two deserving full-time NMC students pursuing a degree in either AA, AAS, AS or BS in any field during the 2023-2024 school year. Approved degree programs can be found online at the NMC website (www.marianas.edu). Student’s must present a Certificate of Completion from the TTT 8-Month Program or a Certificate of Internship through Tasi To Table. The scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, merit, eligibility, content of each student’s written essay, and interview process.
